The objective of this project was to compile the direction of macro transportation system that interact each other forming an effective and efficient, integrated and harmonious transportation system.
The scope of the Project encompassed:
- Survey on origin and destination of passenger/goods travel in South Sumatera Province
- Survey on number and location of existing bus station, the capacity, passenger and or goods drop-off and on-board, operational building as the services to the community.
- Survey on number and location of available harbor dock, the capacity, loading/unloading facilities, terminal and operational building as the services to the community.
- Survey on number and location of available airport, the capacity, loading/unloading facilities, terminal and operational building as the services to the community.
- Survey on transportation cost incurred by public, entrepreneur and government.
- Survey on land, sea and air transportation service network
- Survey on land, sea and air traffic performance
- Survey on land, sea and air transportation infrastructure network.
Analysis and Evaluation:
- Undertake analysis on transportation needs by identifying available land allotment encompassed agricultural, plantation, tourism, marine, and other sectors.
- Undertake analysis and evaluation on trip generation and attraction of passenger and goods and the estimation to through the next 25 years.
- Undertake analysis on land, sea and air infrastructure network.
- Undertake analysis on transportation cost by land and sea from producer to consumer regions.
- Analysis on efficiency and effectiveness of transportation cost on transportation network development.
- Undertake analysis on available transportation service network and the development for the next 25 years and determination of main mode with handling priority.
- Produce transportation service network and transportation infrastructure network performance indicator.
- Translate the information into GIS form.
